On textured walls, pick up a pack of 3M Pads and stick them to the back of the strip. The 3M sticky pads are nice because they’ll cushion and help adhere on all the bumps like the LED strips won’t. Just cut the adhesive 3M pads to fit within the borders of the strip and they’ll work perfectly fine.

The self-adhesive on the back of the led strip lights typically needs a smooth surface in order to stick securely. Rough surfaces or too many grooves will limit the contact between the surface and the 3M tape backing. Less contact means less of a bond, leading to the flex strips falling or drooping in places.
Can you hot glue LED strips?
Begin by putting an amount of hot glue on the cut end of the LED tape or at the cut point which needs waterproofing, and then slide the heatshrink over this. You can then heat up the heatshrink with a heat gun to tighten/contract the glue. This will reseal your LED tape back to its original IP67 rating.
